My family had a great week at Cayman Stead! The condo has everything we needed and is very nice. We had three adults and four kids stay there very comfortably. Having two king beds in the bedrooms was great. They were very comfortable also. The pool was nice and was perfect to come back to after a day of exploring the island. The kitchen had everything you need to prepare meals and was also stocked with basics like seasonings and coffee filters. We would recommend hitting the Foster’s Grocery Store in Savannah instead of the one right by the airport. Fosters at the airport was very crowded. Jackie’s information and recommendations are great. We went to Starfish Pointe and Rum Point. We did the stingray city/snorkel/sail trip with Red Sail Sports out of Rum Point. That was a great trip perfect for the whole family. We also did a two tank dive with Ocean Frontiers on the East End. They were very professional with very knowledgable dive masters. Our one meal at a restaurant on the island was at Tukka. It was unbelievable! The food and the service was great. One of our best beach adventures was a 20 minute drive to Spott’s Beach on the southern shore. It is a nice beach with some wave action. It is known for the sea turtles that feed on the grass right off the shore. We snorkeled right off the pier and saw the turtles out there. We did take a drive one day to the Turtle Centre and to Seven Mile Beach. We enjoyed each of those places and my kids loved seeing and holding the turtles! However, we really enjoyed staying on the north end at Cayman Stead by Rum Point where it is much quieter and less traffic. Overall we had an amazing week in Grand Cayman and loved staying at Cayman Stead. We will definitely be returning to Grand Cayman and plan to stay at Cayman Stead.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed Spring Break 2018 at North Pointe Condos/Cayman Stead. The view from the second floor lanai is amazing and our family enjoyed each other’s company with a cup of coffee every morning overlooking the awesome ocean view! Both king beds were comfortable. The pull out sofa bed, well, it’s a sofa bed. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook our own meals as we desired. All we had to do was add the groceries! The ice maker was even able to keep up with our demand! The stairs could be a bit challenging for anyone with physical limitations, but our group didn’t have any problems. The air conditioner worked well when we used it. We only ran it at night. During the day we were able to enjoy Caribbean breezes by opening the windows and the three sliding glass doors which opened to the lanai. We enjoyed the cat that lives on the grounds. He/she was so friendly and yet not bothersome in any way. It was also helpful having two full baths, one connected to each bedroom, and the washer and dryer came in useful too. Staff was easy to work with and resolved any issues we had. I would recommend North Pointe Condos/Cayman Stead to anyone looking for a getaway which could be as quiet and relaxing or as adventurous as you make it. Our family enjoyed some of each and can’t wait to come back! It truly is a beautiful island with welcoming residents. And be sure to snorkel while you’re there. Our family enjoyed hours of snorkeling right at North Pointe or early in the morning at Rum Point just up the road a little over two miles before the crowds arrive. Several good restaurants within a 30 minute drive from the far north side too. We definitely didn’t go hungry. My suggestion would be to stock up on the majority of your grocery needs while in or near Georgetown but Chisholm’s grocery store just a couple of miles before you get to North Pointe has a surprisingly good selection of necessities. And don’t miss the small local shops scattered throughout the island. Sometimes the best treasures are found unexpectedly! Thank you once again for the opportunity to thoroughly enjoy Grand Cayman. Until next time…
We enjoyed 10 days of a very relaxing family vacation in Jackie’s condo. It was big enough for our group of 6 (grandparents, parents and kids), well equipped with all you can need for your stay and mostly, conveniently located on the north side of island, which seemed to me really Carribean. The nearby beach which is just steps from the condo might be a bit rough at times, but the close Rum Point offers great access to blue water, coral reef, sports and good food. About 5 minutes ride from the place is a small convenience store which is opened also on Sundays, again, very useful if you arrive during the weekend. If you want to buy fresh fish, I recommend to buy from the local fishermen opposite Over the Edge restaurant – cheap and tasty. I recommend this place to anyone seeking a true Cayman holiday and thanks again Jackie for all your kind advices. Best from Europe- Lukas & family
Let me first say that this rental is not near 7 Mile Beach but we personally didn’t want to be on a busy beach. After long days of hitting tourist spots and the cruiser destinations, it’s nice to come back to peace and quiet as well as an outstanding view. The fact that it has a pool is truly icing on the cake and yes, that view is what you see from the pool. The beach is walk-able, can certainly be swim-able, but it’s not the sandy beach designed for wading out and looking at your toes. Again, there’s places literally 2 minutes up the road at Rum Point to do that so it never crossed our minds. 7 mile takes about 40 minutes to get to but it’s not difficult. There’s a grocery store close to get necessities but the bigger ones are more towards town. Great restaurants near and you must go to Kurt’s Korner. Cheap awesome local food, probably went there 3 times as well as the taco food truck. Can’t miss it on your drive. Not really any negatives but it is about time for a furniture update. Such is life on the beach that causes wear on the couches and seats. Front door lock can be quite tricky as well, but overall outstanding place with a great owner to work with during the process. Would certainly go back!! PS- Mosquitos are literally waiting for you when the sun sets, this s no joke. We travel to islands a lot and most of the time these are empty threats. It’s the real deal here! Bring spray!!!
We stayed on the property with our 7 year old son, and it was the perfect space for us. Jackie communicated well and everything was set up for our arrival. We were happy to have the pool as an option for a bit of non-salt water swimming and loved the tips for restaurants and activities that Jackie recommended. Thank you for a lovely place to stay on Grand Cayman!
Condo and grounds were clean and safe. Very few people in the area, totally unlike 7 mile beach. East side a short drive away and Rum Point even closer. Beds were comfortable and kitchen perfect size to make meals when we didn’t want to eat out.
My 18 year old son and I enjoyed Cayman Stead for 6 nights in July. It was exactly as described and pictured. We loved snorkeling right outside the condo and even enjoyed a movie on the beach one evening on an iPad. It was so laid back and relaxing. Right up the road we spent afternoons and evenings at Kaibo and the Bioluminescent Bay is so close and really shouldn’t be missed! We had one small issue with the condo, but someone was out to help us promptly!

Wonderful (too short) 10 day stay. Grand Cayman is a wonderful island with wonderful people and although a good deal of the world has found this out, thankfully there are places in Cayman that still maintain their original, laid back, life is good quality and the North Side of the island is the perfect place. Jackie’s condo is beautiful, very well laid out with two very big master bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, large living/dining area and a wonderful porch/lanai looking out onto the ocean and pool area where you can enjoy your morning coffee, afternoon cocktails or even dinner. The condo and common areas are very well maintained. Location is perfect since you have snorkeling in your backyard, a nice/albeit small and with limited stock grocery store and great restaurants/bars in fairly close proximity. Jackie provides very good info in her welcome letter and her property manager is a very welcoming typical Caymanian who is happy to assist with any questions or issues that may arise. Left to my own devises, I would live at Cayman Stead and gladly have Jackie as my landlord. It was my first time at her condo and hope it will not be the last time. Have a wonderful vacation at Cayman Stead!
